The Gemini Sisterhood

I've always longed for sisterhood, searching for that close bond through childhood friendships and even joining a sorority in college—only to leave shortly after without finding what I sought. This year, during Marc’s birthday dinner with my three children, I noticed something had changed between my daughters. Typically alternating between best friends and rivals, they laughed together, tried oysters (with mixed reactions), sang, and planned their horse show bows, displaying a genuine connection I’d never witnessed before. It struck me then: I had witnessed the birth of true sisterhood between them, the bond I yearned for as a child. It felt like a gift, one Marc always wanted to give me—sisterhood realized through our own children.

Reflecting on the Gemini myth, where brothers faced heaven and hell to stay united, I understood the depth of sibling bonds. Seeing my girls connect filled me with joy and gratitude.

As we start a new chapter at Blue Fox Farm, we are excited to embrace an even larger community, welcoming new "barn sisters" into our lives. Our new home will embody what it means to feel accepted, loved, supported and cared for without judgement or jealousy. As my daughters move forward, bonded and secure, and for the first time, I am content to watch this sisterhood flourish, knowing they have found in each other what I always hoped for myself. Sisterhood. And I am lucky to be a part of it!
