Animal Communication and Grief HealinG
They came to me quietly at first. Small nudges of fog in the grief.
A frog that wouldn’t leave the porch. A hawk hovering above. My soul horse, Blue, pressing her forehead to my chest when I was feeling deeply, and my dog James, who I truly believe is a reincarnated soul of so many angels and spirit guides…
With a background in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery, I felt drawn to animals as part of my healing journey.
Though I didn’t fully understand what was happening, the animals around me began showing up in ways that felt too precise to ignore.
I spent decades as a veterinary neurosurgeon, trained to analyze and fix the physical brain. But in my grief, I realized the true gift wasn’t in fixing, it was in listening and feeling. This was no longer about external healing. It had become something far more intimate: internal, soul-deep restoration.
It’s not about “speaking” to animals, it’s about receiving wisdom.
Animals act as a divine channel, often carrying messages from the spiritual realm. Sometimes these messages come as sensations throughout my body, but other times, they show up as experiences with my children, on my farm, or with my grief.

This is Not a How-Go Guide or a Coaching Service
This isn’t about a step-by-step method. It’s a doorway into relationship. One where you remember how to hear the subtle language of your dog, your horse, the wild things around you. They’ve likely been speaking all along. The question is: are you ready to hear and receive their wisdom?
When you begin to listen differently, the world softens. Your senses sharpen. And sometimes, it’s the plants that help you attune even more.
